Anyone who knows these two will agree they are a riot — the laughter never stops and love for life pours out of them!! They have been a part of my life for a long time, and I wanted to capture their spirit, so we headed for downtown and had a a great afternoon fooling around!!

I got to hang out in some dirt with a great family last week for their session!! It was kind of easy choosing the biggest dirt pile in town to take some shots of these guys — they are used to playing in the dirt — Tyla, 13, races motocross — and from what I’m told, she is better than most of the boys!! Way to go girl!!

We had a bunch of fun, hitting up a few different locations and got some great shots!

It’s been about a week and a half since I met up with the Phelan’s to photograph them, and I still find it hard to come up with the words to write this post……

my heart still almost leaps from my chest…..

The day was bright and cheerful,

three gorgeous kids and a great mom and dad — it was going to be one of those sessions!
Until……..little Quincey discovered an open manhole that was once covered by old wood……yup, you guessed it, he fell into the hole! With his little body barely peeking out of the hole, I managed to pull him out safely. Dad scooped him from my arms and calmed him down, made sure he was okay and gave lots of reassuring hugs.

We were all so shocked at what had happened, but we were able to gain composure and carry on.

It still gives me shivers to think of it, but we ending up having a great session and Quincey, the little trooper, didn’t seem too bothered by the whole ordeal!

During the summer, I was involved with the 3rd Annual Bosom Buddies Golf Tournament to benefit Breast Cancer, where I donated a family session for the silent auction.

This family was the lucky winner, so we ventured out on Thanksgiving weekend (boy that seems like a long time ago!) and had a great time in the park!

I had a great time hanging out with this family the other day!

I was so excited to get the chance to photograph little Miss Paige for the second time and she is just as gorgeous as when she was born! And her older brother is such a nice kid, with the most incredible eyes!! Thanks for hanging out — and for the laughs!
